Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation (taught in English) is the first international scholarly exchange curriculum program that is open to Chinese students. This curriculum focuses on not only natural and engineering knowledge: Mechanical System Design, Mechanical Manufacturing & Material, Testing Techniques, Mechatronics & Automation, Solid Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, and Vibration, but also essential elements of higher learning: Critical Thinking and Analysis, Problem Solving, effective Written and Oral Communication in English, and the cultural and historical context of the world. As a result of international cooperation, we can provide more opportunities for our students to conduct practice of major, internship, and independent research overseas.  

Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation (taught in English) is designed to train students to possess not only basic knowledge and application skills of mechanical design and manufacturing, but also practical ability, comprehensive quality, team spirit, innovative thought and enterprise competence, be able to pursue careers of design & manufacturing, scientific development, application research, operational management in the field of mechanical engineering, be familiar with international rules, and be confident in international affairs and competence

Students in this major could choose to study at NUC for four year and will be awrded Bachelor of Engineering by NUC when they successfully finish all the stipulated courses, or to study at NUC for two years and at overseas partner universities for another two year and will be awarded dual-degree by NUC and the partner universities when they successfully finish all the stipulated courses.
