The present NUC Library lies in the central part of the campus. The architecture’s construction started in 2002 and finished in 2006, covering a floorage area of 46707.48 square meters, 45007.48 square meters of which is for University collections and 1700 square meters is for schools’ collections. 35 reading rooms and 6114 seats at the library are open to NUC staff and students.  

At the library there is a collection of over 2,000,000 volumes of books and electronic books 24,627 kinds of periodicals, covering basic subjects of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, foreign languages, engineering & applied technologies of Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Arms Engineering, Automatic Control Engineering, Electronics Technology, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, Testing and Instruments, Transportation, Environmental Science, and literatures on Humanities & Social Sciences, Management, and Physical Education.
